Description: St Andrews Table Tennis Club welcomes everyone of all standards from beginner to international. We have three teams which compete in the local Dundee and District Table Tennis Association league and cup competitions. This is a club for all members of the local community. University students are also very welcome to join us. We occasionally play matches against the student club at the University of St Andrews and, of course, we let them win a few points. Aim The club’s aim is to provide coaching and competition for those who wish to take part in table tennis in and around St Andrews. The club is over 50 years old and has witnessed a resurgence in membership in recent years. Where The club’s home venue is the Cosmos Centre in Abbey Street, St Andrews. League fixtures are played on Wednesday evenings between September and March (in Gauldry on a Tuesday evening for the Truants). The hall is also hired for members’ close-season practice. Coaching UNFORTUNATELY YOUTH COACHING WILL NOT RUN DURING SEASON 2023/24. The club also has recreational table tennis and coaching for adult beginners and ‘returners’. The adult group known as “The Rascals” is led by Elaine Forbes. It meets throughout most of the year, including much of the summer, twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.15 to 11.15am. A modest fee is charged for these sessions.
